The DZ210 Speed Monitor and Switch can be used in industrial machine applications to monitor the zero-motion state and the direction of rotation. These units have several noteworthy features, including a wide input frequency range, a very quick response time, and adjustable encoder characteristics and signal assessment settings for standstill and direction identification.

The DZ210 uses universal pulse input that can be used with single-track operation for all common HTL and RS422 incremental encoders and measuring devices. Two DIL switches on the front side are used to set the input characteristics and the standstill definition. Plug-in screw terminals are used for making the connections. Additionally, the device features two potential-free change-over output relays that allow it to flip between stationary and clockwise and anticlockwise rotation.

  • Pulse input with format A, B, 90° [HTL] or A, /A, B, /B [RS422],
    also possible for single channel
  • Input frequency up to 500 kHz
  • 2 output relays with potential-free change-over contact
    (forward, reward and zero motion)
  • 2 transistor outputs with High-Side-Driver, short-circuit-proof
  • Power supply 17 ... 30 VDC
  • Snap-on housing for top hat rail (according to EN 60715)”
